Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta
Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta
The Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta (or Competizione A) is one of Ferrari’s newest additions, alongside the 812 Competizione. The Competizione A signals its Targa drop-top (Aperta translates to "open" in the Italian), also making this car one of Ferrari’s exclusive convertible models. Both the 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A are variants of Ferrari’s 812 Superfast line—a collection of sports cars designed for track performance, first offered in 2017.
As its name suggest, the 812 Competizione A has been designed for speed. It can accelerate from zero to a hundred in just 2.85 seconds, due to the uncompromised aerodynamic design taken to all facets of this car, as well as the improvement to the distribution and cylinder heads of the engine. DLC coating (diamond-like carbon)—a special resilient material utilized in Ferrari's Formula 1 cars—has been applied on the cams, greatly contributed to the seamless movement of the valves.
The 812 Competizione Aperta features a removable carbon fiber roof panel.
Only 559 units of the Aperta model exist.
