In 2023, Rolex introduced an unexpected and creative twist to one of its iconic models with the latest version of the Day-Date 36. With a vibrant puzzle design and a splash of emojis and positivity, this watch adds an element of playfulness and spontaneity to the wearers' daily lives.

Instead of the typical day-of-the-week display, one of these inspirational words— “Happy,” “Eternity,” “Gratitude,” “Peace,” “Faith,” “Love,” and “Hope”—takes its place in the arc-shaped aperture located at 12 o'clock. An exclusive emoji appears in the window at the 3 o'clock hour, replacing the conventional date display. With 31 different emojis, the mood of this watch will be a pleasant surprise for its wearer each day.  

To add more joy and personality is the unique and meticulously crafted dial with champlevé enamelling, which has been configured into a colorful jigsaw puzzle design, where various turquoise blue, red, fuchsia, orange, green, and yellow pieces come together on a single-colored background. This 18K white gold version features a turquoise blue dial background. The hours are elegantly marked by 10 baguette-cut sapphires in six different shades.

The new variants of the Day-Date 36 are fitted on the President bracelet, a fitting reserved exclusively for the Day-Date and precious metal versions of the Datejust watches. Worn by numerous notable figures, including presidents, dignitaries, and creative visionaries, this Rolex timepiece has garnered the moniker, the “Presidents’ Watch.” The 36 mm Oyster case is waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet).
